5 Ways to Boost Your Mental Health

Poster on

To honor World Mental Health Day, we’re sharing the Top 5 things we do at Nudestix to boost our mental well-being. As advocates for mental health and through our partnership with the JED Foundation, we believe it's important to take care of ourselves by partaking in daily activities for our mind, body and soul.

Check-in on yourself.

Whether you pick up a journal, go for a morning walk or do a few moments of mindful meditation it's important to take some time for yourself throughout the day to reflect on how you are feeling, your goals and what you would like to accomplish. Whatever those favorite things are, it’s important to work them into your daily routine.

Spend time with loved ones.

If you feel like you’re struggling, talking to a friend, family member or therapist can provide a sense of comfort. Whether it’s receiving advice or getting thoughts off your chest, confiding in a loved one or a professional can help to gain perspective and validate your feelings.

Positive Affirmations.

We love positive self-talk at Nudestix! Here are a few of our faves:

I am beautiful.

I am grateful.

I am enough.

I am smart.

I deserve to be loved.

Today I choose to think positively.

Listen to what your body needs.

Everyone’s body reacts differently to feelings of anxiousness or stress. It’s important to identify what your body needs in the moment, whether that’s rest or movement. Some of us at Nudestix like to participate in yoga or go for a walk, while others prefer deep breathing exercises.

Be present.

We spend so much of our day behind the computer or phone, it’s important to take time to be present in the moment to appreciate where you are, how far you’ve come and what’s important to you.

To support Mental Health Awareness, Nudestix is a proud charitable partner of The Jed Foundation. In 2022, Nudestix will be donating $10,000 USD to JED. To visit JED’s resource centre, click.
